POEM: How to Love

You want to know how to love unconditionally
Others tell you unconditional love is not possible
You romanticize love
You want it to be epic and passionate
You want songs to be written about it and angels to recite poetry about it in the heavens
You want to lose the boundary of where you end and where she begins
You want to know God in your love
But you see, love is not something you do
Love is something you are
So tell me how to love when you already are love itself
The very mystery that makes your heart beat on its own accord is love
You are the song that angels are singing
Come home so you can know it
So that love can move through you as you
You are the dancer and the dance as you are being danced
You are the actor and the act as you are being acted
You are the lover and the loved one as you are being loved
So, my friend, do not try to love as the act of trying to love keeps you separated from love
Remove all story and confusion as they are all that is between you and love
